This summer (2015) I was given the exciting opportunity to take part in the prestigious SickKids Summer Research (SSuRe) program. I completed my placement under the supervision of Dr. Robert Hamilton in the Division of Cardiology, Department of Physiology and Experimental Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. My summer project involved CRISPR-Cas9 genome engineering in a cardiomyocyte cell line.
